Dinote - Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 4, 2025

Introduction

Welcome to Dinote, developed by Animus. This privacy policy explains how Dinote manages and handles data collected during your use of the app. Please read it carefully to understand our practices regarding your data and how it is handled.

Data Collection

Local Data Storage

Note Data: Dinote stores all notes locally on your device in an SQLite database. This includes the content of your notes, timestamps, and metadata essential for the app's functionality.

No Cloud Sync

As of now, Dinote does not offer syncing functionality between devices or cloud storage. Your notes remain solely on the device where they were created. Changing devices or uninstalling the app will result in the loss of your notes unless you back them up manually.

Third-Party Advertising (AdMob)

AdMob Usage: Dinote uses Google AdMob to display banner ads. AdMob may collect certain device information for advertising and analytics purposes, including (but not limited to):

This information helps AdMob deliver personalized or non-personalized ads and to analyze ad performance. Data collected by AdMob may be shared with trusted third-party partners that assist in providing advertising services. For more information on how AdMob handles data, please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy.

Use of Data

Dinote App

The data stored by Dinote (i.e., your notes) is solely for the purpose of enabling note-taking. Your notes are not uploaded, shared, or used for any other purposes beyond the app's functionality.

Data Sharing

User Notes: Dinote does not share your notes or personal files with any third parties. Your notes are only accessible from your device and cannot be accessed by anyone else unless shared manually by you.

AdMob Data: Certain information (such as your device’s Advertising ID) may be shared with Google and its advertising partners solely to serve and personalize ads.

User Rights

Since Dinote does not collect or store your personal note data on external servers, the typical user rights associated with server-based data collection (such as access, correction, deletion, or objection) are not applicable to your notes. You can delete your notes manually at any time in the app.

For advertising data collected by AdMob (e.g., Advertising ID), you can typically reset or limit ad tracking in your device’s settings. Consult your device’s operating system instructions to learn how to update these preferences.

Permissions

Storage Permission: Dinote requires access to your device's storage to save notes locally. This permission is solely for the purpose of note management and does not involve any data collection beyond storing your notes on your device.
